Public Gallery

The purpose of Public Gallery is to explore participation through our programme of permanent and temporary exhibitions, events, publishing, and learning. Visitors will be invited to take part in creative process, encounter art and debate its meaning, purpose and future.

We are preparing to open and will be starting to recruit locally for various positions. Visit the Current Projects page for future announcements about employment opportunities at Public Gallery.

SIX PROJECT

Can you write a story in six words? The famous writer Ernest Hemingway once made a bet that he could and came up with: "For sale: baby shoes, never worn."

The Public and Multistory community arts organisation are collaborating on SIX, a project that asks you to take up the challenge!

We want you to tell us your story, whether it is an important event in your life, a lesson learnt or a poignant tale; if you can tell it in six words we want to hear it. We are collecting as many stories as possible to be featured on the Six website and in a publication.

To submit your story, see other peoples' stories or to find out more, visit:
