Light Up Digital is an exciting celebration of light and dark by cutting edge digital artists.
The exhibition includes a special residency and installation by video artist, Joanie Lemercier from AntiVJ and his mesmerising work Eyjafjallajökull.
Drawing inspiration from the Icelandic volcano which wreaked travel havoc across Europe in 2010, Lemercier’s Eyjafjallajökull, is a stunning 3D projection that challenges the audience’s senses. As visitors are mesmerised by the constantly changing projection and optical illusions, they question their perception of space, depth and distance.
The exhibition also includes the products of a week-long residency with local students exploring the magical world of video mapping.
Perfect to make the long winter nights more magical!
Light Up Digital is supported using public funding by Arts Council England.
