Between 1 April 2012 and 31st March 2013, we welcomed 383,336 visitors through our pink doors (a 46% increase on the same time period last year).
In addition to this, 36,876 people visited in March making this the best ever individual month for visitor numbers – as The Public becomes one of the most popular attractions within the Black Country.
Over the course of the year, visitors came to the venue to see work by established artists showcased alongside work by local groups and artists, get creative with exciting school holiday activities, be entertained by leading names from the comedy world and see the best in children’s theatre.
In addition to this, The Public is home to 23 companies and has also become a well-established place for local businesses and organisations to hold meetings.
Linda Saunders, Managing Director of The Public said,
“We are delighted by the continuing increase of visitors who are attracted by our varied and accessible programme with everything from tea dancing to cutting edge digital art.”
