Artists from across Sandwell are invited to submit artwork to The Public’s summer exhibition and have a unique opportunity to have their work displayed in a gallery alongside Turner Prize recognised artists, Tracey Emin, Martin Creed, Jeremy Deller and David Shrigley.
This year’s Summer Exhibition will have the theme ‘People and Places’. Artists are invited to submit up to three pieces of work in a variety of mediums, including painting, drawing, photography and printmaking. All artwork selected for the exhibition will be displayed from 13 July to 28 September 2013 alongside work from both upcoming and internationally renowned artists. Selected work will also be displayed in The Public's online gallery.
The annual exhibition, which is now in its fourth year, aims to actively encourage creativity within the local community by nurturing talent and providing residents the opportunity to showcase their work to a mass audience.
