Over the last 12 months, The Public have welcomed over 110 students on work experience placements from across Sandwell and surrounding regions.
Our excellent programme aims to provide young learners with a high quality experience that enhances their lives and gives them a platform to develop skills and opportunities.
The Public's work experience offer is about enhancing future workforces in the West Midlands. We are committed to providing our placements with the best experience we can, and give them roles and responsibilities that further develop their prospects.

Creative Assistant – to support learning and exhibition team duties
Visitor Assistant – to assist in daily duties within an arts centre and gallery

Are you 16-18 and not in education or employment?
Would you like to develop your skills, try something new and gain confidence to move towards gaining a qualification or job?
If you are aged 16-18, not in education employment or training and live in Sandwell and/or Dudley, then a work placement at The Public could be just for you.
Sandwell Arts Trust is a partner in Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council’s Skills Funding Agency approved NEET project, and is looking for keen and interested young people to work at The Public (for 2-6 weeks duration).
